OutPixels

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before claiming your first parcel.

What am I buying?

Advertising space on a shared 1,000,000-pixel board. Your image and link are shown on the pixels you hold.

Can someone take my pixels?

Yes. Anyone can take over owned pixels by paying the next price on the ladder: a pixel claimed for free or $0.10 next costs $0.50, then $1.00, and after that each takeover adds another $1.00. If the owner voluntarily paid a higher value (say $100 per pixel), a takeover costs at least what they paid plus $1.00.

What happens when I'm outbid?

You receive OutPixels Credit equal to what you previously paid for the pixels they took. Credit can be used to buy more advertising pixels, but cannot be withdrawn or transferred.

Can I withdraw my credit?

No. OutPixels Credit has no cash value and can only be used to purchase advertising space on OutPixels.

How are prices calculated?

Every registered user gets a limited free-pixel allowance — your first parcel costs nothing. After that, never-owned pixels start at $0.10; the next prices are fixed: $0.50, then $1.00 — and from there every takeover adds $1.00. You can also voluntarily pay more per pixel: what you pay becomes the parcel's new value.

Can I change my ad later?

Yes. You can edit your campaign's name, tagline, link and artwork at any time from your dashboard.
